Prodigy Disc expands with New Production Facilities, Staff and in Europe
2019 has been a great year for Prodigy Disc, on and off the course. In addition to the strong performance by team players, the company has made significant improvements in product quality, manufacturing and sales. The major contributing factor was the move to a new production facility in late 2018.
Prodigy Disc’s new facility is located in Dalton, Georgia, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Affectionately called “the carpet capital of the world”, it offers numerous attractions as well as possibilities for growth. The new building suits the needs of the company really well and gives the company the ability to continue its expansion. The new facility and new equipment have enabled Prodigy Disc to better focus on the efficiency and quality of production.
Next Season and More Staff
Prodigy Disc is excited for the 2020 season as it has high hopes for the Core Team players on the course, but also for them to help with product design. The company is developing new, interesting products to be launched in the new year and will be increasing its support and sales staff in order to accomplish its goals.
Stronger business in Europe
Since 2014, Prodigy Disc Europe, a company owned by Paju siblings Seppo, Ilkka, Lasse, Elina and Aino, has exclusively represented Prodigy Disc in that part of the world. In early 2018, the Paju family strengthened their partnership with an investment in Prodigy Disc Inc. This partnership is now even stronger as the business in Europe has been transferred to a new company owned solely by Prodigy Disc Inc. The staff at Prodigy Disc Europe will transfer to the new company, Prodigy Disc Europe Oy, with operations in Europe remaining the same.
The new agreement aims at aligning the operations in the US and in Europe, in order to simplify the company structure and to prepare for the continuing growth in Europe, says Ilkka Paju, chairman of Prodigy Disc Europe Oy.
